BREMER AG takes over construction of all logistics and office areas

The FRICKE Group engages a main contractor - BREMER AG to oversee construction of the logistics centre in Tholey

The FRICKE Group is planning the company’s future with a logistics centre in Tholey, Saarland. With the decision to engage a main contractor, the company took a major step forward with this project shortly before the start of the new year. With their many years of experience in the field, BREMER AG was chosen as the perfect partner for this construction project. Depending on the weather conditions, BREMER AG will start work on the construction site in Tholey from February 2024.

The construction of a second logistics centre in Tholey, Saarland will provide the FRICKE Group with improved access to the French, southern German and southern European markets thanks to the shorter shipping routes that will be created. By opting for a main contractor, the family-owned company from Lower Saxony is now driving this construction project forward. BREMER AG is one of the three largest main contractors in Germany. The Paderborn-based construction company impressed with its extensive experience in corporate and logistics construction, and with it reputation as a highly reliable family-run company. Depending on the weather conditions over the next few weeks, BREMER AG will start setting up the construction site in Tholey as early as February 2024.

“With BREMER AG, we have now found a trustworthy partner with whom we can implement this crucial project for the FRICKE Group. We are already looking forward to the day when the first packages can be shipped from Tholey. By choosing BREMER, we have now come a huge step closer to achieving this,” said Hans-Peter Fricke, Managing Director of the FRICKE Group, who is delighted with the progress of the project.

BREMER will be responsible for the turnkey construction of all logistics and office areas at the logistics centre in Tholey, which represents an investment of around 50 million euros. The FRICKE Group is investing a total of 160 million euros in the new logistics centre, and the first construction phase is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2025. Upon completion, the FRICKE Group's second logistics centre will have a total floor space of 80,000 square metres, making it comparable in capacity to the current central replacement parts warehouse at the group's headquarters in Heeslingen.
